Reflected on MushroomObserver.org as observation #572752, While walking along the street in the early days of April, I had came across a familiar color peaking out from the border between a mulched flower bed and grass lawn, one morning. What I found was one of the most uniform specimens of Gymnopilus luteofolius I have ever come across. It was difficult to secure spores off this one, but they're available to all who answer the call to the Gymn.
"Holy Polaris" is pretty much what I said when I came across these, and "Holy Polaris" is a quote from the first Batman movie released in 1966.
